well i had like law exams and all today! and then it was hectic then mom picked Laveen, Meninder and myself up to go to Sri Garden for the conference.

So how did it all start. Well, law assignment. One of them. Which is worth 5% of our internal assessment. And well we are divided into groups. And a legal question would be given to us, and we’d have to like write an essay to answer it and also perform an act/song/skit or just about anything that is performance-like to convey the answer of that question to our lecturer.

This is the only fun and so bipolar from law norms of all our assignments!! All year round it was like essays, SAQs and reports and all. So yeah! Anyhow. My group mates were zubin and sachin. And we were so last minute because the whole week we were packed up with English writing and math exams which lasted us like 3-4 days. Oh and this was last week! And on Thursday, we realized it was Friday the next day which was when we were to perform.

And we panicked. And we sought to pick songs. We wanted to act out a skit in the first place. But then, we had no more time! So we opted to rap! Like change the lyrics and all! And we chose Boom Boom Pow-B.E.P. here are the lyrics of our Law version of Boom Boom Pow.

So what we did was dress up like dudes with hoodies and shades looking really dumb and rapping like a rapper!!! We weren’t as good as the other group which was the leftover of our classmates. Our class is like really small. Just 7 of us. So basically the other 4 made up the other group. And they did Whatever you like-T.I. which was really synchronized and all.

Then the next day, we have still yet to like memorize the entire lyrics. It was so difficult. I mean its like rap. And PLUS with all the legal terminology!!! And we were like practicing in the morning at like 8am-9.30am. because 9.45am was when we were supposed to perform.

And here it starts!!! As we were practicing like idiots in the glass paneled game room (wherein everyone could see through). Then sha (aisha) saw us and went “join Xpax World Stage and perform”. Basically Celcom has been advertising the MTV World Stages like crazy. Going from selected private college/unis to college/unis. They went to henry’s (HELP) that day.

So there were like 4 ambassadors in our college (TCSH) wherein Sha was one of them. So each ambassador had to like recruit 2 crews to like perform and whichever 2 crews that wins would get the Mosh Pit Passes. So sha had 2 groups! 1 group is us and the other was darshan and lisa!!! So we decided to like switch the lyrics around to suit the promotion of Xpax MTV World Stages. The lyrics was like zubin’s amazing work. Well we did contribute like 1%. Hahahaha

and then. That was Friday. So then it was like Saturday and Sunday. Which we didn’t do anything. And then it came to Monday. Still nothing. And Tuesday which was yday. Zubin e-mailed us the lyrics at night. And well today Wednesday! Morning and before we performed. We were like “sha. Can we back out… we’re not prepared”. And sha just went “no!! just give it all out!”.

And then somehow, zubin and myself were just like. “ahh lets do it!” then we went upstairs. For like 2 hours we practiced and all like hell! And then we just went for it you know!! Oh and henry was like supposed to be here to watch it! Then we performed!!! We rapped and had some dance in it.. haha.. oh and rapping without music. So its like acapella rapping?

Then right after the performance. Henry called saying he’s here. And went to like get him down. Watched Hash and the others all perform Michael Jackson. And then I pushed zubin towards the competing site where 3 MJs were competing. 2^nd one was Hash. And well I just went “hey would you like a lady MJ” and then I just pushed her in. and among all the MJs whom are dudes. Zubin won.

Then henry and myself went to have lunch and hang out!!! Love you babypie!!!!!!! Hehe.. and then we played pool. Mmmhmmm.. and George joined in for a while. And then suddenly!!! Zubin received a call!!! We went down and poof! We actually won the MTV Stages Mosh Pit passes!!!!! It was basically like sha’s 2 groups! Lisa and darshan who did the Indian husband wife act. They won!!! And then its our group!! We won! So its just sha’s group!!!! Like coincidently it was the 2 groups that was under her!

and then we went back up played pool. With George. Saiful and zubin. Yeappp! And then we went home. I love henry! done and done. and im so damn exhausted. so imma sleep. although i really have to study accounts for tomorrow's exam. sighs

Music's effects on Plants (no kidding)

Music and Plant Health

Experiments conducted by Dorothy Retallack to learn about music's effects on plants are described in her 1973 book The Sound of Music and Plants. Retallack played rock music (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Vanilla Fudge) for one group of plants and jazz for another. When two weeks had passed, the jazz plants were healthy and bent toward the radio. The rock music plants grew very tall and droopy, with faded blooms, and most had died within 16 days.

Retallack tried other types of music, including country, to which the plants showed no reaction, and modern (discordant) classical music, which caused the plants to bend away from the speaker. The plants seemed to “like” Bach and North Indian sitar and tabla music.
Other people have conducted similar experiments, and some claim to have achieved similar results. However, Retallack has been criticized for using unscientific methods in her experiments.

Most music studies to date have used small sample sizes and some have not controlled for confounding variables, so although these findings are compelling, more research is required. i arrived. and everyone was there already. not everyone but maybe half. it was like dark! and yet. and i was like clad in my yoga pants and cap sleeve tee. got my jog for hope shirt, got into the ladies. and ponied up my hair, slipped on the shirt and white khakis. yesz! and thats it. we had to start rolling already

i wanted to wear shorts :S :D oh well. this whole TCSH life thing has really put my shorts into rest. mann. do i remember how i used to like don shorts/skirts all the time. like ALL the time. and now its all long pants and long pants and long pants. thanks to my sensitive body which cant take the slightest cold at all.

dayyyuum!okay and then abhinav and myself were like "everyone please proceed to Hartamas Shopping Complex (HSC) once you've registered" and it went on and on. then abhinav was like standing by at the college which is the registration sector to like get everyone to go to HSC and i was at HSC, like trying to get everyone hyped up. failed? worked? okayokayla

so i skived college today. and well. was really really tired. guess the period damned is kicking in. oh well. and then i got a slight betta. so i called nik up, and we were like, instead of tomorrow, lets go do our IC today. i need to renew mine, 'cause im like no more a minor. :S

and she like lost hers. so yeah. oh but i went to my grandma's place to have lunch first. yeap. and then and then nik picked me up. we went over to that jabatan place. and goshh goshh.. so we waited for like 2 hours plus. when we were there, number was 323. and we were 405 & 406

with us going so :S 'cause they were practically gonna close at 5pm. and according to our calculations. we were just at the very thin line of either making it through or not. scary! and then when it finally came to 400. we were like so close yet so far! what if they just go "we are done for the day" when the number was 404.

will kill myself mann. haha.. ohoh! and then it came to ours! it was so awesome!! so nik was supposed to pay a fine of 100 bucks, but she got away with it, the dude was like "its okay. youre still a student" and for me, i was like "i need to change my address too"

the lady who tended me was like "you need your electric bills and all" and i was like in monologue "mann.. the hell.. change addresss or not. wtf, im gonna do my ic today. fuck address" so yeah i was like "its okay. im still staying there. my sister is" and she was like "oh okay".

and we got it done. then it was like photo session. the dude there was like *towards me* "you look malay. why is your name like audrey . .. chinese name" and i was like laughing. then he saw nik "you look so chinese. why is your name malay" we were like what the hell and laughing. haha.. he was so cool.. he let us take multiple shots till our pics got right :D:D:D

grandma turns 65!

so we celebrated with like 1/100 of her relatives. this time its the chindians! :D yess, no wonder im so diversified in my personality. i dont go claiming im like mix or what la. although i do have like very diluted thai and all that what not blood.

im pure chinese. see. aint no pretentious going on! cass baked really cool orange butter cake. yes, she has taken over the "baker" title in the family. next you're gonna see Nataly and Ashley doing it! so we celebrated in Overseas restaurant. i dont know why my family cant seem to get enough of our "home dinner" places where we park at.

such as Overseas, Las Carretas, La Risata (fuck we go there like every damn week), Mathai's (INDIAN!!!!) and yeah. we're like so dang and all.. my chindian cousins are so amazingly adorable! totally reminds me of aisha's bf, justin, whom i cant stop going "oh right! you're not malay you're chindian!" hahaha..

hey ho. anis and dee picked us up. we went over to Castle. where i simply love the food. and where people go there for shisha and all. its like a total Arab Land. people know it as Damai. but im gonna make it known as Arab Land. 'cause there are like so many Arabic restaurants with shisha and foods like all over in that street which is Damai.

so it was Marc, Yuki, Faris, Ikhwan, Nik, Firdaus, Gibran, Anis, myself, Cass and Dee. oh oh oh and Faris' adorableeee ball python snake!!!! its so cute. we were all like playing with it the whole time. its so nice.

the beef hummus there is amazingg!! the bestt!! and its fucking cheap. the food. i didnt shisha. aint into it. haha.. dunno, just not really my thing. more of a eating person! we had so much fun. laughing and talking shit.

definitely plus plus fun with the snake around. the waiters were all scared to their asses when we were like showing it to them, bringing it near them and they just like RAN OFF!! seriously! ran off the tent. we got the tent room. :D so yeah.

Chung Hwa Primary Sports Day: the twins'

so i woke up this morning. like so early! so weird. 9 am ish. thats early for me. and then went down. and my parents were like dressed to go out. and im like where you guys off to.

then they went. to the twins' sports day. im like. why didnt you invite me. why am i not going. then they were like "go change". so yeah. and there i was in their school's sports day. oh. they are 11 this year. studying in Chung Hwa Primary school.

nataly participated in like 7 events. and won all golds and silver for them. she has like 70m race, 4 x 200m race, 200m race, long jump, high jump, tug-o-war, 100m race. ashley has like 4 x 200m race, tug-o-war and 200m race.

but ashley didnt get anything. its so sad la! as in ashley was like so excited and s

he couldnt sleep the entire night. but she was damn cool about it. she was like "ahhh mann.. i didnt get anything.. ill try next year again". and my parents and myself were just like "shit shit.. feel so bad.."

yeahhh.. so thats it. god then baby and myself had long long chats. like catching up on what happened last night and all. 'cause he was at this event and i was at this other event. so yeah.. henry was at the Hip Hop 2 da Max event at Ministry of Sound (MOS).

yeah. was like talking to henry and shannon at 5.30 am. freakkk mann. while they were fuckin high and drunk. badd badd. hahah. but it was hilarious. and i was like "shannon. no leaves unless im there" heh.

now, now. Im not getting sensitive. Im just expressing my deepest gratitude on having the “ability” to actually befriend all these great people? Unlike some people. Yeah. how is it that having no friends=having friends of different ethnicity? Uhh.. so if people don’t “mix” with their own kind, they are regarded to have no friends? And even if they were to mix with people of outside the race, they are still regarded to have no friends when…. Currently working on my psychology slide presentation “Sleep Hygiene” which was only assigned to us a couple of hours ago during class, and we’re supposed to hand it in tomorrow AND it is regarded as our internal assessment worth 2%!!! The hell. Not that we cant deliver. But ridiculous innit. Oh well oh well.

Hannah was over today! Watched a whole lotta youtube videos. And about the life in UK. Its her birthday tomorrow and we’re going to Poppy. Mom was like “yeah sure! Since when we don’t allow you to go. You just don’t ask that’s it “ and I was like, in front of Hannah and to my mom “NOOO!!! THAT’S NOT TRUEE!! LIESSS LIESS!!!!”

Henry came over to college today. In the morning. To pick up his lunch which I made for him!! :D:D like totally real lunch okay. With curry potato in peretal style and ju hu char (nyonya dish: cooked mix of sliced everything o’ carrots, cabbage, turnip, squid, minced chicken, garlic, onions) it was cool.

it was kavi's birthday today. as she was so blur. she totally missed our very very obvious actions of trying to surprise her. we did anyway! haha. it was hash, zubs, trish and myself surprising her with a birthday cake in her class..

then we were off for lunch at the Wine House with lisa as well. just us girls and it was nice :) kavi's a really cute and pretty blurrrrrrr girl who loves clubbing hahah.. it was nice! happy birthday!
